How it works

Four steps. Same cycle, every month.

Local Spotlight mails every month. Here is exactly what happens each cycle, from reservation to results.

Current cycle
Reserve by August 31, 2026 → land in mailboxes early October 2026

Dates shown are for the upcoming cycle based on today. Because Local Spotlight is a monthly subscription, this cycle repeats every month you stay reserved.

Why this exists

Three reasons Local Spotlight works when other local marketing doesn't.

  • You're tired of marketing that asks you to just trust it.

Every ad gets its own tracked number, QR code, and results report, so you're reading your own call log, not taking my word for it. If zero calls, texts, scans, or form fills come in during the 30 days after your first card lands in mailboxes, we apply a credit to a future monthly payment so a later issue runs free.

  • You don't have time to be a marketer.

Send me a screenshot, a business card photo, even a picture off your Facebook page, and I'll build your ad myself. Answer three questions, approve one proof, done. Missed calls still get recorded voicemails and directly sent to you.

  • A shared card only works with one business per category.

Open a typical mailer and you'll find three competitors on the same page. Local Spotlight caps every category at one business, ever. If a slip-up of mine ever puts a competitor of yours anyway, that issue is free.

What's included

Three core components. One flat monthly price.

  • The Local Spotlight Postcard

Oversized 12"x9", full-color, category-exclusive ad blocks on premium 14pt gloss cardstock, delivered via USPS EDDM to ~5,000 targeted homes every month. Reserve 1 block for a standard ad or combine multiple blocks for a larger ad. Includes Fridge-Worthy Content: emergency numbers, local events, school schedules, seasonal checklists, and a mini monthly calendar.

  • Lead Tracking System

Dedicated call and text forwarding number, unique QR code, exclusive promo code (if you're running one). QR leads to a landing page Joe builds; form leads email you instantly. Calls forward to your own phone, calls and voicemails are recorded, missed-call alerts, and a full results report after every issue.

  • Done-For-You Ad Creation

3-question intake, full design from whatever you send (screenshot, business card photo, Facebook profile pic), one round of revision. Zero design skill required on your end.

The 3 Guarantees

Three promises. All in writing.

  • The 60-Day Drop Guarantee

Your card is printed and handed to USPS within 60 days of payment. If we miss that window, you get a full refund. No fine print.

  • The One Seat at the Table Guarantee

Category exclusivity, enforced. If a competitor in your category ever ends up on the same card as you, that issue is free.

  • The Screen Door Guarantee

No minimum term. Cancel anytime before your next charge and future billing stops. Any issue already in production stays paid for and still ships.

Ad sizes

One block is 3.75" wide by 2.5" tall.

Every ad on the card starts from that single block. You can reserve just one, or combine blocks into a bigger ad. Four size options are available — the largest is a 2 × 2 (4 blocks). All previews below are drawn to the same scale so you can compare true physical size.

FAQ

Thirteen honest answers.

  • Digital ads compete with hundreds of other ads for a few seconds of attention on a small screen. A 12x9 postcard lands physically in the home, gets picked up, and often ends up on the fridge because the back side is Fridge-Worthy Content (emergency numbers, school schedules, local events). It's a different job than digital ads, not a replacement.
